Middle of the week..

This is my newest listing on Etsy. I called it YELLOW SUBMARINE.
The minute I finished it the name just stuck. It is a freeform Peyote stitch bracelet. Can't you just see it with a crisp white dress.

Well I finished painting cabinet doors yesterday!!yeah!
Today I'm doing touch up work on the cabinets and the doors should be hung by tonight.

busy week ahead

This was a fun piece to make. It actually started out as a Peyote choker and just didn't look like I wanted it to, so I started knoting it and adding larger beads. This was the result. Often things don't turn out like I start them. Thats the charm of creativity!! I have a couple of pieces I'm working on now, maybe I'll finish today and show them. That is if I get the kitchen Cabinets painted. Thats my real goal for the day. Toodaloo.

WHEW! The Last Day of School ....

Love my job...
Love school . . .
Love the kids . . .

the smell of summer is so strong
the taste of shave ice is calling
the warmth of sun on my skin
the smell of Hawaiian Tropic,
of new chlorine in the pool
sleeping late
staying up late
evening walks on a hot summer night

I'm a summer kind of gal
and I'm ready!!

In Honor - here is a new necklace called twist and shout!!
I thought that it was appropriate for the last day of school.
It is a aqua and brown dutch spiral which wraps
around a wood bead.
Of course there is fringe
this great pendant hangs on a brown leather strap.

So Honored!

Much to my surprise as I checked out the treasury on Etsy this morning before leaving for school, I was in 2 different treasury's. I've tried to take screen shots of both but haven't been successful. Please check out the Etsy stores of both of these treasury currators! Thanks so much guys!

While I was getting this store names I popped up on another.

THURSDAY - Count down has begun

Well we are in the official countdown for the last day of school and for the birth of Hudson. The teacher that I work with is expecting her 2nd child in about 4 weeks. The last month of pregnacy is always the hardest, the same with the last few weeks of school. When school ends, we should be REALLY close to that little baby being here. I can't wait. He has an adorable little brother named Nolan who is the funniest child I have ever seen. Life should get even crazier for them.

In the post below I mentioned the funky fish charm that will be featured in the BelleAmoure magazine. Here is one that is larger that I just relisted in my Etsy shop. These little fellows are fun to make (and the amazement on the face of fishermen is great!) This fish is named RACHEL RUFFLED.

Monday - May 7th

Wow..the weeks are flying by. As a kindergarten assistant, the last few weeks of school are crazy.

Several months ago, a call went out on Etsy for any jewelry artists that wanted to make a charm for a charm necklace that would be entered in a contest that was sponsored by BelleArmoire magazine. Well I jumped on board and made my charm and sent it to Julia ( Julia graciously compiled all the charms and sent the necklace off.

Julia emailed this week and said that she had received an email from BelleArmoire saying that they would be using our necklace in the July/August issue!

So thanks again Julia for all of your hard work!
Check out the magazine in July to See some great Etsy Artists get some recognition.
